Responsibility

Today you broke the rules. Simple really, not a big deal. You rode your scooter in the crosswalk when you were supposed to walk it. Ricky warned you, I warned you...but you continued riding it anyway.

When told to give me your scooter you told me no.

Then I forcibly removed it and gave you a warning to continue on.

This is where the big problems started.

I told you "D you know the rules, you were warned and didn't listen and you CHOSE to do the wrong thing and have earned this consequence."

"It's Josiah's fault."
It not Josiah's fault you broke the rules"
Yes it is.
No sir it's not
He was running.
That doesn't excuse you breaking the rules. What Josiah does has no effect on your ability to listen. You are responsible for yourself.

Stop talking in that tone. I just feel like you don't love me. Stop talking. You hate me.

I love you. But I am upset. I don't hate you. But  You know what I hate?

I hate that you don't accept responsibility for your choices. You chose to break the rules and instead of owning the consequence...you blame Josiah, you say I hate you.  You should just know you did wrong, own it, and say I'm sorry.

We were at school so I told you I loved you and that I hope you have a great day

I am writing the down so we don't forget that this is a behavior we must work in.

Taking responsibility for what you do wrong.
